Global FMCG Business based in Melbourne's Western Suburbs is looking for an experienced Finance Professional to join the team. You will be working directly with the senior leaders of the business.

This role focuses on the Australian business within a global group. You will be working as a part of a large finance team with considerable career development opportunities. The client has a flexible working policy and a collaborative culture.

Description

Reporting to the CFO, some of the main responsibilities of your role will include:

Financial Planning & Analysis

Manage and oversee the group's planning and reporting function including the annual planning (budget) process and quarterly forecasting.As appropriate, conduct financial modelling and identify and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across the group.

Tax reporting, compliance & governance

Preparation and review of group and individual entity month-end current and deferred tax calculations (including reviews of effective tax rate reconciliations)Coordinate and manage group (and individual entity) annual tax return lodgements including PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and R&DEstablish and maintain internal transfer pricing policies and monitor compliance.

Corporate procurement and supply chain

Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to senior management to support decision making and drive improvement across the group's procurement and supply chain functionsAssist with effective vendor selection and management including ongoing performance monitoring as appropriate

Capital and projects

Manage the group's capital spending requests, approval & reporting processes.Ensure there is rigour in the financial evaluation, selection and post-implementation reviews of capital projects of significance

Continuous improvement and business transformation

Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives, through new projects, processes and procedures across the Finance function as well as the wider business.Eliminate non-value adding work

Profile

The following traits will be considered highly relevant for this role:

Bachelor degree in accounting/finance or full professional qualification (e.g. CPA)Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, preferable in FMCG/retail manufacturing industryExtensive understanding of business principles and practicesStrong analytical skill with good business acumenAdvance Microsoft Office Skill and strong at pivot tablesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to build cross discipline relationshipsHigh level of ethics and integrityAbility to foresee the requirements and operations of the company and plan accordinglyA very sharp eye for detail in order to analyse financial reportsGood leadership qualities and technical accounting ability
